KIT COLMAN

Art Exhibit - November 1 through 30

Artist Reception - November 9, 2 to 5 pm

"I grew up in Woodside off Old La Honda Road. My childhood was spent outside exploring the hills on foot and on horseback. In 1984, after receiving my BFA from California College of Arts and Crafts (now known as CCA), I moved to Texas, raised a family and continued painting and studying sculpture at Texas Christian University. I have now returned to California and Old La Honda Road, and live among those who also love this historic little road. But the once quiet winding country road now bustles with bicyclists, walkers with their dogs, horseback riders and the residents in their cars, all drawn there by its beauty. In this series of paintings I wanted to show appreciation of the amazing kaleidoscope of light and details of the road in its many forms and uses."
